About

Advocacy to Infrastructure.

The Queer Resource Network (QRN) is an initiative of Why We March created to strengthen 2SLGBTQIA+ communities by building practical, accessible, and shareable resources for organizations, advocates, and community leaders. QRN focuses on developing adaptable toolkits, program guides, templates, training materials, and community-informed supports that help groups respond to local needs without having to start from scratch. Rooted in collaboration, equity, and collective care, the Queer Resource Network exists to support the people and organizations doing the work on the ground while helping build stronger, more connected community infrastructure across Canada.

Land Acknowledgement

The Queer Resource Network acknowledges that the land on which we live, organize, and build community is the traditional territory of Indigenous Peoples who have cared for this land since time immemorial.

In the London–Middlesex region, this land is part of the traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee, and Lūnaapéewak Peoples, and is covered by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant—an agreement to share and protect the land and its resources in the spirit of peace, friendship, and respect.

We recognize that this land has been the site of profound resilience, resistance, and survival, and that colonization continues to impact Indigenous communities today. As an organization committed to human rights, equity, and collective liberation, we understand that reconciliation is not symbolic—it requires ongoing learning, accountability, and action.

The Queer Resource Network commits to listening to Indigenous voices, supporting Indigenous-led movements, and reflecting on how our work can contribute to justice, respect, and shared responsibility for the land and for one another.

Our Roots

Why We March began with a commitment to advocacy, visibility, and community action. Through the Queer Resource Network, we are turning that advocacy into infrastructure by creating practical tools, shared resources, and support systems that help 2SLGBTQIA+ organizations, grassroots groups, and community leaders do their work with greater capacity and confidence. QRN reflects our belief that lasting change requires more than responding to urgent needs; it requires building the foundations communities can rely on.
